I will be making my annual trip to Saltspring Island to fish St. Mary's lake sometime later this month (April). The last two years haven't been as productive as I'd like, so I wanted to see if anybody reading these posts could offer some advice. I've caught most of the fish on small jigs (yellow and black), and bucktail streamer flies. If anybody has any suggestions surrounding bass fishing at this time of year I would greatly appreciate them.

I hear their catching bass in the south Ok. now. Supposedly some big ones.
