I am curious, when a salmon is dark, for example, how many days has it been in the river? (how many days after a heavy rainfall will there still be chrome fish there?) Thanks, especially Coho, Springs and Chum Chris

Chris, some fish are already boots when they hit the river. It can also depend on how much time they had been staging in the chuck or in the estaury of the river. I heard that it also has something to do with water temp. I have hooked boots with sea lice on them and chromers with no sea lice. Sea lice will stay ona fish for a a week after they enter freshwater from what I heard. Ask Vic he may have the answer
