Pulling Plugs for springs

I am interested in learning how to pull plugs on the Fraser for springs when it opens in a month and a bit. Has anybody had any luck doing so? Or any other tips?

Thanks

Ian

I fish the Fraser with a Buddy of mine in his boat and we've talked about pulling plugs, so far though we've just used Spoons.
Rattlin' plugs are the first thing I'd use, what with the visibility being about 6" you've gotta get their attention somehow.

I forgot to say that 'Backtrolling', that is to say just letting the boat slip backwards with the current, would be the way to use those kinds of lures I imagine.
I've done it in other fisheries and it's worked well, although never in a River like the Fraser.

Carl, I have some magnum hotchots in a flo red and flo charttruese that rattle. I am hoping we have an early freshet and a quicker one than usualy so the water clears quick. But I have been watching a lot fo fishing shows in alaska and the vis on those rivers is like zero and they do well with plugs.

We use a lot of plugs on the Kitimat River and catcher every species of fish. Best color for dirty water is Black. And we use a lot of Chartreuse. I'm not sure why plugs are so expensive though. And as for rattling ones I kind of think that is just for the fishermen.
