Haig-Brown Favourites?

I have read Return to the River, A River Never Sleeps, Fishermans Fall, and I'm on the last Chapters of the Western Angler right now, and I must say that I've thoroughly enjoyed all of RHB's books so far, but the two that stand out of the ones I've read are the Western Angler and Fisherman's Fall. Which one should I read next? Which one have you enjoyed reading the most?

I'm amazed at some of the foresight which this man has and how enjoyable his stories are to read, as well as how sensible everything comes accross.

Winter, Spring and Summer are ALL outstanding. The beauty is you can read Summer next because its coming or Winter next because you just finished Fall, or find out the order in which he wrote them and read the next in line. Winter is a bit different as it chronicals a long trip through Chile and Argentina wowing the locals with dry-flies. It was not as well received as the other books in the seasons series because his readership was waiting anxiously for his Winter Steelhead stories, but Winter in North America is Summer in South America and as he stated in many of his later pieces, Winter fishing was getting harder and harder for the old bones to take. I also imagine that like many of us who flyfish for Mykiss in Winter, he had less stories to tell. As time went by he no longer targeted Steelhead after February due to the importance of their procreative mission.

I recommend all of his works ncluding "The Master and His Fish", "Silver", "The Whale People" and "Wood and River Tales". The B.C. Sportfishing museum often has original editions for sale quite reasonable.

I often point out that though Haig-Brown had one of the clearest, most respected and widely read voices expressing concern for the plight of the Steelhead, his cherished Campbell river Summer Steelhead still could not escape extinction. This commentary alone has cynicized me to quite a degree.

A link to used books, pretty good collection of Haig Brown stuff. Gives you an idea of the various titles that are not as well known...
some of them are getting pretty pricey.
