Recipe for Dollies Wanted

Hey Folks, I've caught a few Dollies in my time but never actually cooked one up.(c&r) How would you recommend doing so? in the field of coarse,and/or B.B.Q. at home. Same as Bows? or are they a different texture of meat?

Probably best to poach it seeing as how you already have if you kill it. Dolly Varden are a protected species in the lower mainland, not too sure about other parts of the province

Are you on crack Finaddict? Almost all the lakes in the LowerMainland are still open for kill for Dollies.

I still take the occasionall fish myself out of Chilliwack lake for dinner.

Read the regs before you go chewin out someone.

Finaddict is just trying to start trouble....

Cut the fillets to two inch pieces and soak them in the milk for hour or two then put the pieces into flower, eggs and breading and deep fry for two to three minutes at high heat until goldenbrown color.Serve it with potato salad.

You can buy Dollies at Granville Island Market

Those aren't Dollies they are farmed Arctic Char.

Have a quick look at the stunted fins-that's from being jammed together thousands in a pen since birth.
