Fishing Problems at Laidlaw |

Fished
Laidlaw bar Monday, fishing was great and easy to get limits. Except for
some rude people who don't think the law applies to them (fishing
with barbed hooks), it was a great day. As for the comments on the
American's, get a brain, I see more bad people from here than from
the US. I had a bunch of locals that saw no problem in casting into a
fish I was fighting today. If I lost it, no big deal, it wasn't theirs.
They wouldn't even move to let you fight it. Fishing is fun, even
when it's very congested with everybody trying to get a fish. Enjoy
the moment. Tight lines.....
Five of us fished a bar just above where the Harrison comes in, from 10 AM untill 3 PM this afernoon before we got our 10 Sockeys, found it hard to hang on to them today, lost as many as we landed.also lost a bid spring that I had on for a few minuts, untill it decided that it was going down stream in a big way. all in all a great day. tight lines Was @ island 22 since thur & fished fri sat & sun am I was the one who hooked 2 springs up above jesperson & had his pole ripped from my hand only to have the guy downstream from me hook my line so I was able to retreive my gear then on the very next cast I hooked another one & lost that as well , what a great wknd fishing with my cannuck friends laughing & havin a ball & catchin FISH !!!!!!!!!!Whats with all the cross border BS RESPECT is a big reason to which why canadians dislike the american anglers. I don't have a problem with non-residents in our waters but they are visitors to our waters and they do not own them. Because that is the impression that I get when I bump into them on the Fraser or at Barkley sound. When I visit other lands I go out of my way to respect all the locals there. I wish they would give us that same respect. That is all I ask. Hey guys why don,t we have real great fishing !!!! reports than bad mouthing each other so its slow no brainer they had a com opening just give a day or two there .Will be lot s fish for all Its beacuse american people come here to try and take some of our fish, while, they have fished out their own salmon resources in washington, not our problem, so dont take our salmon, thank you Stealhead I have to agree with you, I can't fathom that there are still people who believe that they still have their secrect fishing holes anywhere in this Province, and further more judging a person on one's citizenship. Most of us go fishing for sport and recreation, if Bigsilver wants his private spot I would recommend that he stock a pond in his backyard and stay at home where he can't bothered. I really hate to see narrow minded irresposible comments on this forum..I.E. Americans invading the river... HEY have you ever spent time in Bellingham or even Birch Bay, Have you ever heard negative words from Americans about that invasion from the north............NO! ! ! WE are all just fishermen and jerks live on both sides of the Border...Growup and enjoy the good people everywhere...I am a proud American and have fished Canada ( my mothers birthplace)for 30Plus years and I've seen it all....... Four of
us fished bar above Harrison this morning and got your 8 fish but it took
6 hours. Two americans in green jet boats came flying into bar where there
was no room for anymore fishers. Many of us had to back up quickly or
get soaked by their waves. After taking a look off they went.Went back
to Jesperson to launch my boat and noticed 10 trucks with Washington plates
( who gave them the map?). Maybe this should be in the discussion
board but I can't think of a good name for THIS topic. |
