Replacing a rod tip |

I have a Shimano Convergence that has had the top rod eye wear off (the inside part only) for some reason. Does anyone know where you can get it replaced or is it even a do it yourself job? All help is great!

I tried it myself, but really screwed up the tip of my rod, take it to a shop, and they replace it for a couple of bucks.

I have done this twice in the last two years It's easy to fix though. If you still have the tip, reat it under a match so that the tip come out. Carefull, it will shoot out!! Then just use 5 minute epoxy to put it back on. If you lost the tip, various tip sizes are available from the fishing supply stores. good luck! -Daniel
