Mouth of the Cap fishing method

Hi folks

Drove over the Lion's Gate every afternoon last week around 4pm and there were between 6 and 20 people fishing the mouth of the Capilano, for coho/springs I guess. Just wondering if most are flyfishing, driftfishing, floatfishing or just casting spoons. Might give her a try, so just wondering if its best at high tide, dropping tide, or when is best. And what method is my best bet.

Thanks.

Most of the guys you would see are the brothers of the land. But the other guys are gear fishing with spoons or spinner's. Hope this helps P.S watch the tide as if you don't you will get stuck out there, as she comes in fast.

Best to hit just at the turn of high tide to ebb. When I was out there last week for Coho's we were flyfishing but everyone else looked like they were either using Buzz Bombs or bait. We were also the only ones wading, everyone else was casting from shore. By the way stay on the Ambleside side of the river as the other side is Reserve and watch for posted no fishing signs. Check with Highwater sports in North Vancouver if you have any more questions.
