I was hoping someone could tell me a little more about this blank than what the sage specs say. I was wondering how the rod flexes, if it would be to heavy to handle 6-8lb Maxima leaders without popping them off on steelhead. I like to fish without a float sometimes,so I was wondering if this blank is tip sensitive enough to feel what the sinkers are doing. Also what size Drennan floats does this rod fish with best, #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 Pikers? and in fast water drifting without float how much lead weight feels right before the rod gets a little too mushy? Thankyou for any advice, Jason.

if u want to use that light of a leader i would go with the sage 3113LB (light blank) or a 2106 i have a 3113 lb and its great i use it with my c/p the lenght of the rod is awsome 11'3 and it has quite a sensitive tip i think the MB would be heavey for the leaders you are talking about.

Casey's right you need to use a long 30lb leader with that rod. Casey does well with that set up!!! =)
