Hi, John.... do we respond on the forum, or via e-mail. And are we talking glass, graphite, or a composite? Because of the niche market concept, are we looking at a competitive price to the mass-produced ones, or a premium price based on the smaller volume? Thanks for. KD.

I have a strong smell of SPAM wafting my way here....

I don't think this is anything to do with Spam because he hasn't mentioned the Manufacturer's name. So what I would like to see is a medium-action rods 8.5'~9'~9.5' for Downrigging. No need to make them-I hope this is the right term-too high modulus-that is to say too brittle. A Downrigger Rod has to absorb a certain amount of strain so if it's a little heavier that's OK. Trigger grip essential it's for level-wind reels not those god-rotted single action antiques beloved of so many hillbillies here in BC. The ideal blank for me is the Sabre by Penn CT85MH (impossibly expensive to buy here), a lighter model would emulate the old Kunnan 85MH.

Mickey, there's lots of options available for those level wind pussy reels that you obviously prefer. Some of us hillbillies actually enjoy the sport of playing fish on them there antiques. Mind you, it is a lot harder stackin' six lines off a rigger with them.

ok you think spam sorry not the blanks are made in the uk so you have the chance to have something rolled for you. the rod blanks will come out in lots of about 10-12 at a time. so custom we are talking. prices proberbly will be for the blanks only as i intende to ship them out or have them rung out in bc to cut cost down. over ballpark figure $150.00 can fly blanks should less than $100.00 can and we are talking lastest carbon rod blank design

Dwayne do you have any suggestions for downrigger rods? Manufacturer's names? Model numbers? Do you know anything of what you're talking about?

John, I'd suggest that if you are intent on selling anything, anywhere, you learn to: a)spell b)capitalize and punctuate c)construct proper sentences I would never buy anything from someone that can't take the time to edit their posts.

? Anyways I was responding to your comment about mooching reels. You can do your own internet search on rigger rods if you're interested as I'm certainly not. If you are the Mickey Fin of the charter of the same name I can understand why you would use a level wind. After overcharging some poor saps, and then bouncing them around English Bay for hours when you finally tie into one of those shakers you wouldn't want to bust him off. To each their own, I just happen to like the "sport" part of fishing.
