I am interested in buying a new centerpin. Could you please give me some advice on what rod and reel to buy (blanks or full rods) and what techniques are best. Thanks.

I've got a budget of about $500-600. I was looking at a JW Young Seldex 2 and a G Loomis Drift Rod.Don't know if I can afford Sage.
