Does anyone have or know where to get a chart etc for comparing hooks by different mfrs. i.e. when a fly recipe calls for a Mustad XXXXXX it is the same as a TMC CCCCC you know what I mean... Thanks in advance..

Hook sizes etc are established by the manufacturer. Charts will tell which hooks are generally comparable. However there can be fairly signficant difference in comparing a size 6 hook of a given length and wire gauge to an equivalent from a different manufacturer. Tiemco's tend to use thiner wire (it is also stronger and stiffer) and almost all Tiemco's use a model perfect bend (which most recognize as generally the best.) Partride gap sizes seems to be a bit larger than Mustad's.
