Here is your daily scoop compliments of Prof. For the past month Hollywood bigwigs have been filming "The Pledge" starring Jack and directed by Sean Penn. Apparently the storyline goes that Jack is a police detective investigating a murder. The crime scene is set in Lytton and the reasons for filming in this area is that it looks as close as possible to Nevada and Jack's character is an avid flyfisher which I didn't find out until this morning. If I had only known I could have donated some micro leeches for a modest fee of course!! We've had all his support staff staying at our motel and the production has taken up 140 motel rooms in Cache Creek(and they don't eat at Herby's Steve, I guess pineapples are out of season). Other notables are Harry Dean Stanton and JP McConnell, former longtime CBC radio host, now an actress. As you can see Steve there is more going on in Cache Creek than one realizes!! Prof.

Jack Nicholson was also at my Brother-in-Law's turkey farm (in Whonnock) last weekend. They shot a few scenes and then left all their stuff behind! Tell Jack that Al wants his jacket back! *

John, do you have a website for your motel ? You may have already mentioned it. Always looking for handy spots to jot down in my little black book (it's the "Places I should stop the next time I'm out that way" book). With spring in the air, I find myself thumbing through that book more and more.

JP McConnell is an actress? Semi retirment doesn't seem to agree with him! Jack plays the part of an avid ff'er? I hear Clint Eastwood is the real thing and owns a fishy tributary of California's famous Hat Creek.
