Joined: Sep 2009 4 of us went fishing the 2nd week of June 09, we spent 4 days fishing in the Chatham sound, all we fished for was bottom fish, which we never done before, and it was a great learning experience. The people in Rupert were all helpful, Tackle stores will set you up for any species you want to fish for, including charts. We caught rock cod, lingcod, and 5 halibut 1 @ 80 lbs and 1@ 90 Lbs, all are fishing was done between 180' - 200' depth. Not bad for first timers, just be sure to have all papers lot of DFOs. Can't wait till next year! Will try for salmon.
