Joined: Jul 2007 I'm confused, Or maybe i just never new in the first place. What is a sedge is it the same as a Caddis or a stage of a caddis. Fill me in Im trying to learn as much as I can about fly fishing. I had almost 15 days on the watter last month, and the more I read on line the better my success rate gets. I just lheard about Crominid fishing and I cant believe I didn't try this earlier. Any help on the Sedge thing would be great

I believe the solution to any problem -
work, love, money, whatever-
is to go fishing, and the worse the problem,
the longer the trip should be.

Joined: Feb 2006 A Sedge is a common term for adult (winged) caddis. The term sedge is more commonly British and is used here in BC to describe the large sedges of the interior lakes. It's less or infrequently used in the States.
