Joined: Feb 2006 The warmer weather may be bad for the Olympics, but it makes for an early steelhead flyfishing season. I got off to a late start this morning and didn't get to the river until close to 8 am but was still pleased to find a spot on the upper river all to myself. I tied on a purple and orange egg sucking leech and hooked a nice 8 lb wild buck on my second cast. Nice to finally get one this season. I also saw another fish roll in a run just above the crossing.
