 The aims of the club include: -
- Conservation of wildlife and habitat to ensure that future generations will have the same outdoor opportunities that we enjoy today,
- To provide our members with a place to meet to discuss their concerns,
- To provide members with a place where they can shoot and to provide opportunities for people to shoot, for example, sponsor fun shoots, competitions.
- To cooperate with, and assist the conservation officers while carrying out their duties,
- And provide input to the Ministry of the Environment regarding wildlife conservation.
To get to the rifle range and clubhouse follow Beaver Creek Rd. a few miles north of the City of Port Alberni to McKenzie Rd and McKenzie Rd. to Sportsman Rd. Our rifle/pistol range can accommodate up to 12 shooters at a time and you can shoot up to 300 yards. We offer a fine trap shooting area, with four trap fields, a brand new skeet field now operational, and public access to the Stamp River, which boasts some of the best steelhead and salmon fishing in the province. The range is open every day for shooting from 9 AM till dusk. Non members must pay a $5.00 daily insurance fee.
Remember, all range users must sign in. This is the law. The sign in sheet is at the caretakers house. |
