Oct. 9th 2013 Vancouver Salmon Fishing Report
It appears that our local Capilano River mouth fishery is over for the year. It was short and we had some great days but for the past 10 days after the down pours what fish were there have migrated into the River system. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another push of fish coming in but they would have to arrive in the next week as historically this fishery is done mid October. The North Arm of the Fraser has produced some decent Coho and the odd Chum Salmon but it's hit and miss. There have been some very good reports of decent catch rates at the South Arm of the Fraser for Coho, Chinook and Chum salmon. If the water is good this is a good bet for fish this time of year. Chum will be the dominant fish in that area thru mid November.

If you are game, dress warm and dry and get out there ....

Good luck.
