| Nicola Valley Outdoor's Interior Fishing Report for Feb. 1st |
Conditions as of late have been very conducive to comfortable ice fishing.
The big freeze made the ice the way we like it. The balmy days are nice to be out there and the cold nights have been keeping the ice for us.
Reports are coming in of fair to middlin success on the local lakes.
We have heard of trout in the 1-3 pound range from the Boss, Davis area. Worms and frozen Krill have been good baits.
Marquart has produced some decent fish as well.
There was an erroneous report that Lundbom was open for fishing. This is not the case.
Lundbom Lake , closed to ice fishing.
Brookies are still being caught, patience is the key with these notoriously fussy fish. But once they hit the fying pan or smoker they are oh so worth it.
Don’t be afraid to try something new and different, after all we all get sick of chicken once in awhile and a steak would be awesome!
Get out and have some fun!
