NEW MID-RANGE ALUMINUM DECK BOAT, WITH WALK-THROUGH WINDSHIELD, RAISES INDUSTRY STANDARD IN SPACE, STORAGE AND HAULING CAPACITY

Princeville, Quebec (November 1, 2008) – Handcrafted with 5052-H36 marine grade aluminum alloy, Princecraft’s new Ventura 220 WS with walk-through windshield offers more space per square inch than any other deck boat in its class. Engineers fashioned a great deal of the 220 WS after its sister, the 190 WS, which splashed on the market last year. And, like all of Princecraft’s fish ‘n ski deck boat models, the new 2009 model boasts a high performance deep-Vee reverse chine hull that allows the vessel to plane quickly and cut through rough water.

“Our goal with the Ventura 220 WS was to give recreational boating families the added space and functionality they need for long days on the water,” says Donald Dubois, president – general manager. “We are committed to making the best aluminum deck boats on the market, and our entire Ventura line is proof of that.”

In the cockpit area, the first feature to catch the eye is the 220 WS’ 20-ounce mocha colored “cut loop” marine grade carpeting, which covers a pressure treated wood deck. When it comes to seating on the 220, Princecraft has made sure this new mid-range deck boat leads its class in comfort by offering high backed seats; one chaise lounge in the cockpit; and a stylish, yet handy, bucket seat for the captain, built on a slideand-swivel mount design. And, all seating on the new Ventura incorporates an element of luxury with plush and heavyweight upholstery, which helps to keep the boat looking new for years to come.

Moving forward towards the bow, a walk-through curved tempered glass windshield with a center passthrough, allows passengers to move from the front to the back of the Ventura 220 WS with ease. Designed with a twin console, the port side console features an integrated entertainment center with an ice chest and extra storage space underneath. Storage space can also be found at the bow for the anchor, under all of the lounge seat cushions and in the under-floor ski locker. An additional in-floor storage cooler has been added to keep drinks and snacks cool and give boaters the option of having lunch on the water.

At the helm, engineers thought of it all, especially for those boaters who like to cruise at dusk. The newest Ventura model comes standard with a fully-lit, chrome trimmed, Thermoformed LaserWave dash panel equipped with lighted switches, a No-FeedBack™ steering system with dual cables, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with iPod controls and four waterproof speakers. The music system on the 220 WS is also Sirius Satellite compatible.

In the area of performance, the 2009 deck boat model is 33 percent lighter than competitive fiberglass models, allowing for better fuel economy, faster speeds and less power and fuel required for towing. Powered by Mercury Four-Stoke or Mercury EFI Two-Stoke engines ranging from 115 to 200 hp, the Ventura 220 WS can reach top speeds of around 45 mph depending on water conditions. Princecraft engineers also designed the boat to feature an engine that is clear of the convenient boarding ladder and has an over-sized sun pad which could be used as a pop-up privacy enclosure for changing, or as a head.

A seamless blend of utility, luxury and performance is what makes the Ventura 220 WS the perfect family friendly boat. Additionally, the new model allows each boater to choose the features and options that best accommodate their lifestyle. Some of the optional features include: wake board towing tower package with a brushed anodized aluminum towing tower and sun top, port and starboard side swim platform with stainless steel boarding ladder, underwater lighting, flush mount halogen docking lights, a pop-up privacy enclosure and a chemical toilet with holding tank and pump-out system.

The sleek new 220 WS has a special graphic package and is available in black, brite blue, regal red, and regal red/yellow color schemes. When the boat is out of the water, a color-matched or beige canvas, a colormatched trailer cover and a beige mooring cover will keep the boat protected and looking great. Stainless steel bimini quick-release top latches and traveling struts are also available on the entire Ventura line. A canvas cover tower is also available for any 220 WS that is equipped with the optional towing tower; a canvas feature that is unique to Princecraft and is not currently offered by any other boat manufacturer on the market.

Finally, a double bimini which covers the entire boat, including those with the optional tower, is also available for those wanting their 220 to be partially or completely covered. Whether the family enjoys fishing, skiing, leisure recreation or all three, the Ventura 220 WS deck boat is truly the best multipurpose boat on the water.
