Hi there....It was a cold and wet Labour day weekend and we were camping at Peg Leg bar on the Fraser River. We had a guided trip planned for Saturday September 5th with Giver on the River, it was a surprise for our buddy's stag!! We had 2 boats booked for a full day of sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River and we were stoked to get out on the water and see what the hype was all about. We hooked into some pinks first to use as bait and then it was off to find these monster sturgeon that everyone has talked about! It didn't take long to hook into our first fish, and after a few hours went by and a number of other sturgeon brought to the boat the BIG one hit. Striking like a freight train, and taking about 45 minutes to land we had a beautiful picture to remember this moment!!!! 8 and a half feet long this was a moment we would all remember forever.
