Drove up to the old suspension bridge just past Spuzzum on Saturday. Seen a few Springs being pulled from nets up there. So there must be a few fish in the system around the lower reachs. Tight Lines to all.

Lake or River:Stump, Murray
Date:24-Apr-2005
Comments:
I fished Stump from thursday afternoon to friday noon with not a sniff, no jumpers even. Used microleeches, chronies, dragons, damsels, bloodworms in a variety of methods. Went to murray lake by the tollbooth friday/saturday and caught some decent fish on microleeches, one was 22". Water is cold but turned over I think. Can somebody tell me where one can launch a tube at the very north end of Stump so I don,t have to kick far?

Lake or River:Fraser
Date:23-Apr-2005
Comments:
Drove by Berrys Bait and Tackle today thier sighn reads... Fraser Springs May 1st. I imagine it is a bit early as of yet and that not too many of the big bad boys have entered the system but wanted to begin a thread anouncing the opening date and hope to see the discussion begin and see reports on this topic posted as the fish begin to be reeled in. Yes folks the winter is over and all us dedicated Salmon fisherman will soon have real reports to post once again instead of the boring winter bitch sessions that have been ongoing too long now. Wishin all tight lines and hope to meet some of you on the river this year.

I fished the connector area this weekend and caught nothing. The kane valley lakes are ice - free, but i did not even see a fish in any of them, let alone catch one. Also looked at several other lakes and did not see or hear of any being caught. Very windy weather and very moody fish made for an interesting trip.
