Went to Sheridan last week. Lost a few, released a few and kept a few. Nice
fat ones. They took everything from flies to wedding band and worm. The tastiest
trout I have ever had. The lake is full of shrimp, bloodworms and bugs, which
covered our boat when the wind was slack.

Fraser/Harrison pinks run a bit later than other pinks. Late August/Sept. That
being said, some smaller runs are in the river heading through in early/mid

Was out Thurs. afternoon on incoming tide. Cast out some salted roe and hooked
into a nice six or seven pound Dolly. Put up a nice fight which took me about
10 minutes to bring in with me having to crawl down the dyke about 15 feet.
Going to keep trying for some springs this weekend.

Well fishmaster 2k, why not pop into shady for the afternoon, you never know,
it produces well the rest of the season. You could try a double rig set up with
roe on bottom and a spon/glow on top. Either that or troll some bent metal all
around the bars...or cast em. Talk to Nikka on what size spinner to use and
of course the tides can play into your favour as well. Good Luck, keep us posted.

Hey FM 2000 good to see your post questions in trying to hook up early springs.
I take it shady is out of the question so early. I have been trying since the
1st for springs and actually caught a small jack yesterday. I talked with Berrys
Bait who recomended pro cured dog roe which worked for the jack I caught. The
only other thing i might try is troling a spoon or spin and glow along the sand
bars.Tight lines, good luck.

With a boat you can bottom bounce as done in the upper river. Provided you can
find some faster water. Never tried it myself, however know of some who do.
Nikka industries in Steveston is a good source of info as is Steveston Marine.
